Description
A naturally-processed Arabica with notes of roasted almonds and dark chocolate; medium roast
Fazenda Dutra is a family run farm in São João do Manhuaçu, Minas Gerais, focused on growing sustainable coffee since 1950. Today, the farm has grown to an area of 300 hectares under cultivation. Coffee trees are grown in contour lines in consortium with avocado production and African mahogany trees which provide shade for the coffee. In addition, the farms are self-sustainable in the production of eucalyptus, which is reused during the harvest period and in the coffee drying machines. The business is now a reference in sustainable farming practices.
Production takes place in a mountainous region, approximately 1400 metres above sea level. The plantation houses a wealth of biodiversity because the entire stretch of coffee forests supports different specialized habitats, both micro and macro for many types of flora and fauna.
The coffees from Fazenda Dutra are classified every year among the best coffees in Brazil and in the world, both in terms of quality and sustainability.
